In the summer, wakeboarder needs to head to Villa Lagos. This lake was constructed by Eric Pettinger, who dearly loved the water. He used his 30 year old construction business to support his love of skiing, and later his even bigger love of wakeboarding. Villa Lagos serves as home to the NorCal International wakeboard competition team. The lake is quieter than nearby Lake Shasta and offers excellent opportunities for participants at all levels. The people of this lake have an extremely laid back, friendly attitude.

The best place to snowboard is Kirkwood. A day of snowboarding at Kirkwood should start early on Comice Chair 6. By starting early, participants can beat the crowds and have the best snow. For those snowboarders who love to freestyle, Kirkwood offers a funpark that was constructed in 2000 and 2001. The funpark maintains exceptionally high standards and is practice grounds for some of the best snowboarders in the nation. For carvers, the perfect location in Kirkwood is the Wagon Trail.

In the summer, wakeboarders need to head to Villa Lagos for the best in wakeboarding. In the winter, head to Kirkwood, the best snowboard location. Both locations offer the best opportunities to play with a board.
